For best results the clinic should be attended in its entirety; however\, a minimum participation of 2 days is required.  If your horse is not rideable or is too you\, you can participate only within the groundwork portion.  Note that if we have a smaller number of registered riders we may only have one group. \nWine Ride Details: \nPlease arrive by 10 to get saddled and get ready for our amazing event at Maryhill Winery.\nRide starts at 11:00.  We will start with Blanc de Blanc.  Then we will ride a loop to the east\, and will travel through beautiful hillside orchards and vineyards\, then have our next wine taste by the amphitheatre (mounting block provided).\nWe will then ride a loop to the east with gorgeous views of Mt Hood (weather permitting) then return to our trailers\, unsaddle and tie up our horses\, and go to the winery deck where we will enjoy an assortment of appetizers and four more tastes of wine.  If you would like additional food or wine that is up to you.\n  \nGeneral B-C Mello Arena Information: \n\n$55 arena fee\n$15 per day dry camping fee\n$15 per day horse pen fee\, your responsible for cleaning\n$10 per day haul in fee (if horse not kept on site)\nIf you have any questions\, please do not hesitate to call the clinic host.\n\nREGISTER NOW \n  \nSpectators: \nPurchase a Spectator Pass in our online tack shop to come audit this clinic. \n  \nEquipment: \nFor participants under the age of 18\, helmets are required (free Spectator Passes are available for parents of a minor participating in the clinic). \nA snaffle is recommended for Level 1 horsemanship (however\, for Level 2\, you can bring a leverage bit). The clinic is open to people of all skill levels and disciplines\, beginner to advanced are welcome.  We also welcome horses of all ages and breeds. \nSome of the things you will learn through the clinic are: \n\nConfidence to overcome fears.\nTools to keep your horse calm\, curious\, and respectful.\nHow to develop safe\, content\, and willing horses.\nFeel and timing to increase your horse’s “try”.\nCommon mistakes of both the horse and rider.\nHow to think from a horse’s point of view.\nWhat to expect from your horse and what to do when your horse does the unexpected.\nHow to accomplish incredible things with your horse.\nKey exercises to unlock your horse’s potential.\nExercises to correct your horse’s bad habits.\nHow to gain overall control of your horse’s five body parts and get your horse supple and responsive.\nHow to make the wrong thing difficult and the right thing easy\, a key lesson for solving problems.\nHow to get the most out of each training session with their horse at the clinic and at home!\n\nEssentially\, we will be teaching you the building blocks for success! \nThis clinic will be split into two classes so that everyone can have extensive one-on-one time with Steve. Participants from both Levels can watch the opposite Level at no cost. If there are not enough signups to form two groups\, they will be combined and will 9:30-3:00 with a lunch break from 11:30-1:00. \nThe Level 1 Class will be primarily focused towards teaching principles of safety\, communication\, and confidence building for both horse and rider.  This is a great class for anyone who is new or still needing foundation exercises\, lacking confidence\, possibly looking to not canter too much (or wanting to try cantering more)\, having any major issues with their horse (bucking\, rearing\, etc.)\, or themselves.  Green horses (less than 6 months of riding) should be in this class.  We recommend this class if you have not previously done a clinic with Steve.  It will run from 9:00am – 1:30pm. \nThe Level 2 Class will be primarily focused towards teaching more intermediate to advanced principles.  In this class we will assume that you have basic understanding of natural horsemanship groundwork concepts and techniques and are willing to have a ‘go for it’ attitude.  This class will involve advancing your groundwork techniques\, body control\, and riding maneuvers.  If your horse has any behavioral issues (bucking\, rearing\, striking\, etc.)\, this class is not for you.  It will run from 2:00pm – 6:30pm. \nThis clinic builds on concepts that take several days to achieve. For best results the clinic should be attended in its entirety; however\, a minimum participation of 2 days is required.  If your horse is not rideable or is too you\, you can participate only within the groundwork portion.  Note that if we have a smaller number of registered riders we may only have one group. \n  \nGeneral Information: \n\n$55 arena fee\n$15 per day dry camping fee\n$15 per day horse pen fee\, your responsible for cleaning\n$10 per day haul in fee (if horse not kept on site)\nIf you have any questions\, please do not hesitate to call the clinic host.\n\nREGISTER NOW \n  \nSpectators: \nPurchase a Spectator Pass in our online tack shop to come audit this clinic. \n  \nGeneral Information: \n\n$55 arena fee\n$15 per day dry camping fee\n$15 per day horse pen fee\, your responsible for cleaning\n$10 per day haul in fee\nIf you have any questions\, please do not hesitate to call the clinic host.\n\nREGISTER NOW \n  \nCost: \n\n\n\nUSD Prices\n\n\nClub Member\nNon-Club Member\nHow Much You Save as a Member\n\n\n$375\n$500\n$125\n\n\n\n  \nA club membership fee is only $149 USD for the year\, see the other bonuses and become a member at www.HorseTeacherU.com \nPurchase a Spectator Pass in our tack shop to come audit the entire clinic. \n  \nEquipment: \nFor participants under the age of 18\, helmets are required (free Spectator Passes are available for parents of a minor participating in the clinic). \nA snaffle is recommended for Level 1 horsemanship (however\, for Level 2\, you can bring a leverage bit).
