Participants from both Levels can watch the opposite Level at no cost. If there are not enough signups to form two groups\, they will be combined and will 9:30-3:00 with a lunch break from 11:30-1:00. \nThe Level 1 Class will be primarily focused towards teaching principles of safety\, communication\, and confidence building for both horse and rider.  This is a great class for anyone who is new or still needing foundation exercises\, lacking confidence\, possibly looking to not canter too much (or wanting to try cantering more)\, having any major issues with their horse (bucking\, rearing\, etc.)\, or themselves.  Green horses (less than 6 months of riding) should be in this class.  We recommend this class if you have not previously done a clinic with Steve.  It will run from 9:00am – 1:30pm. \nThe Level 2 Class will be primarily focused towards teaching more intermediate to advanced principles.  In this class we will assume that you have basic understanding of natural horsemanship groundwork concepts and techniques and are willing to have a ‘go for it’ attitude.  This class will involve advancing your groundwork techniques\, body control\, and riding maneuvers.  If your horse has any behavioral issues (bucking\, rearing\, striking\, etc.)\, this class is not for you.  It will run from 2:00pm – 6:30pm. \nThis clinic builds on concepts that take several days to achieve. For best results the clinic should be attended in its entirety; however\, a minimum participation of 2 days is required.  If your horse is not rideable or is too you\, you can participate only within the groundwork portion.  Note that if we have a smaller number of registered riders we may only have one group. \nWine Ride Details: \nPlease arrive by 10 to get saddled and get ready for our amazing event at Maryhill Winery.\nRide starts at 11:00.  We will start with Blanc de Blanc.  Then we will ride a loop to the east\, and will travel through beautiful hillside orchards and vineyards\, then have our next wine taste by the amphitheatre (mounting block provided).\nWe will then ride a loop to the east with gorgeous views of Mt Hood (weather permitting) then return to our trailers\, unsaddle and tie up our horses\, and go to the winery deck where we will enjoy an assortment of appetizers and four more tastes of wine.  If you would like additional food or wine that is up to you.\n  \nGeneral B-C Mello Arena Information: \n\n$55 arena fee\n$15 per day dry camping fee\n$15 per day horse pen fee\, your responsible for cleaning\n$10 per day haul in fee (if horse not kept on site)\nIf you have any questions\, please do not hesitate to call the clinic host.\n\nREGISTER NOW \n  \nSpectators: \nPurchase a Spectator Pass in our online tack shop to come audit this clinic. \n  \nEquipment: \nFor participants under the age of 18\, helmets are required (free Spectator Passes are available for parents of a minor participating in the clinic). \nA snaffle is recommended for Level 1 horsemanship (however\, for Level 2\, you can bring a leverage bit).
