Steve has some exciting demos planned that you won’t want to miss as well as performances in the evening show. Come by and visit us at the booth! \nWant to Ride with Steve? \nHe will be teaching a 1 day clinic the day before the expo starts (Thursday).  Limited Space Available. \nIntroducing the Rother Ranch Race! \nThis event will be hosted by Steve Rother at the Washington State Horse Expo.\n\nThe opportunity to compete in this Cowboy Challenge/Trail Course will be available to approximately 40 horse and rider teams.\n\nYou will primarily be judged on your horsemanship as far as approach\, execution\, and exit of each obstacle; with bonus points available for time.\n\nThis event is designed to be both fun and challenging.  It is open to all levels of riders\, but there will only be one division.  This will be a great way to get your 2022 horsemanship season off to a good start and an excellent way to showcase you and your horse’s partnership in front of your friends\, family\, and local horse community.\n\nPeople always wonder IF they are ready?\nSurprisingly\, most people are more ready than they think.  If you are sitting on the fence about signing up for the race\, register for one of the Steve Rother Horsemanship Clinics on Thursday March 3rd\, the day prior to the expo.  This will also be the same day as ‘Round 1’ of the race\, which will be at 6pm Thursday March 3rd.\n\nWhat does this mean?\nIt means that you can get extra prepared for the event by attending the clinic just hours before the competition\, in the same arena.  This is what the show world calls a ‘paid warm-up’.  Everyone who attends this clinic may have a ‘step up’ against anyone who doesn’t attend\, but either way you will come away with increased horsemanship knowledge.  So\, win\, lose\, or draw – you have a great opportunity for both you and your horse at the Washington State Horse Expo by entering the Rother Ranch Race!\n\nThere will be two separate classes available for the clinic:\n\nClinic Session 1: Foundation Work (9am-12pm) – Ground control\, mindset\, confidence building\, communication.\nClinic Session 2: Horsemanship (1pm-3pm) – Riding control\, race theory\, obstacle training\, planning your run.\n\nThe cost for each clinic session is just $70\, you can do one or both.  Participation in the Race is not required for the clinics.  You can do one clinic\, one clinic and the Race\, both clinics\, or both clinics and the Race.  Investing in you and your horse’s education and experience is one of the best ways to ensure a bright future for you both.\n\nRother Ranch Race Schedule to come.\nPlease see the registration form for entry fee costs\, awards\, stall fees\, and other details.\n\nRegistration will open soon at: washingtonstatehorseexpo.com
